Hi, I'm trying to work with my Photoshop file in After Effects. When I import my PSD, I choose the following settings: When I open the composition, all the layers show up as PSDs, which is expected I guess but correct me if I'm wrong. In order to animate the text, I choose the layer that I want to animate (the one that's selected in the screenshot below) and then go to Effects & Presets > Animation Presets and choose the effect that I want but nothing happens. Is it because I haven't converted my PSD to editable text in After Effects? I tried doing that too by selecting the layer and choosing Create > Convert to Editable text but I lose the warp effect on my text that I'd applied in Photoshop. Why is that? Is it mendatory to convert to editable text every time I work with PSDs? If so, what are the limitations of doing this? Can anyone suggest the best practices or point me in the right direction while working with PSD's in After Effects? This is what happens to the text. It loses the warp when I convert it to editable layer After Effects 17.5.1 Photoshop 22.0.0 macOS Catalina Thanks.

I mapped the keyboard shortcuts for panels that I need most using Shift+Number Pad key e.g. for Effect Controls I mapped Shift+5(Num), for Program Monitor Shift+4(Num) and so on... But when I try to switch panels, pressing Shift+4(Num) edits the playhead position timecode as shown in the screenshot below: Is there something that I'm missing? Here is a screenshot of my Keyboard Shortcuts window: This seems to happen in panels that have the Playhead Position timecode. Let's say the Project Panel is selected, pressing Shift+2(Num) activates the Source Monitor as expected but from there on, pressing Shift+3(Num) will edit the playhead position timecode. I'm on Windows 10, Premiere Pro CC 2017 (11.1.2) Thanks!

The pink cursor thing is the new feature of brushes in adobe to enhance the smoothing of the brush. You just need to put zero in the integer value of brush smoothing.It should help.

This is due to Photoshop CC 2018:Character leading broken.Refer the link given. Photoshop CC 2018: Character leading broken | Photoshop Family Customer Community the workaround for this particular issue is to use the shortcut keys to increase or decrease the line spacing rather than use the cursor.(use option+down arrow key), if you are using mac, for windows (alt+down arrow key). I hope it helps you!

I would try following trouble shooting steps: 1) Try restoring your prefs: To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut: Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you startPhotoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferencesfiles are created the next time you start Photoshop. If the problem persists, try disabling additional/3rd party plugins. Solutions Update Photoshop & Camera Raw. Update your video adapter driver. Disable third-party graphics accelerators Third-party GPU overclocking utilities and haxies are not supported (examples include Riva Tuner and MSI Afterburner). Disable Automatic graphics switching under the Energy Saver tab in the System Preferences (Mac OS). Replace your video adapter with a newer, compatible video adapter. Deselect Use Graphics Processor in the Camera Raw preferences: Mac OS: Choose Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw. Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw.

Are you sure you're working on the Layer Mask? If you're planning on using a layer mask but notice that you're painting black or white all over the canvas, you've probably forgotten to select the mask. This is a simple mistake that anyone can make because often we just select the actual layer to work on it.

This happens more often.You just need to re-clip the layers. This happens when you duplicate and move stuff around. You can try putting them into a group to manage things a bit better.
